Retirement!

It is crazy and I have not let myself think too much about my status these days because I am RETIRED at age 33. I left my job of 6.5 years at a pretty cushy place (mostly good memories! But also some professionally torturous ones and a sense of things just dragging on) back in the beginning of December 2020. I do have some pretty ambitious goals/tasks to take care of so in one sense, it’s a huge relief to not to be glued to my laptop and loudy beepy test devices during the whole work week.

We will be moving to a different state/city, upgrading to a bigger house, selling our house here and getting my 3-yr old enrolled into preschool in a competitive district. Yikes! I’ve started the most enjoyable part of the process so far–house hunting! But due to Coronavirus and living in another state, we haven’t been to any showings yet. I do have a feeling that when things move, they will move quickly though.

My current mani is modeled atop Neuromancer, by William Gibson. I’m only reading this because it’s my husband’s favorite book but man…it’s confusing AF, has a million characters with confusing motives and no real direction. It’s all over the place but I’ve been assured that it’s like the birth of the cyberpunk genre. For that significance, I guess it’s not a total waste of time. For my mani, I used Essie’s bachelorette party with Formula X’s shimmering champagne.
My last duo-colored mani with this new trendy brand Believe Beauty in a fun glossy mustard and matte textured dark teal.
I’ve hit the voxbox jackpot with these useful and high quality goodies! It’s Coola’s new green line of face cream, gel cleanser and serum. They each have this super clean, refreshing yet subtly floral scent which I absolutely adore. They also work really well with my oily combo skin and absorbs right in! No tacky or greasy mess with any of these products. Nice recommendation, Influenster!
I’m a part of the Walmart Spark Review program and they sent me this glow in the dark steering wheel cover to test a few weeks ago. It didn’t quite fit so I had to cut it (uh-oh) in order to get it on…but it works! I really love this thing–it actually makes me feel cooler driving and gives my already futuristic Ioniq a further Tron look. And yes, the glow in the dark is fo real! Can’t wait to drive in the nighttime now!
Not two weeks after I quit, I was sent this in the mail as an Agile Transformation Pioneer! Both the agile working group in my department nominated me as well as my own boss and team for leading an all-day agile workday camp! I mean, it would’ve been pretty nice to be recognized while I was still there but ya know…better late than never, haha.
